If you do a search for "guitar" in the iTunes Podcast database, you'll come up with quite a few results. More than fifteen PAGES of results. And with all these potentially awesome podcasts just waiting to be put on your iPod and listened to at your leisure, who on earth is going to help you pick and choose which ones make it?
I am.
Well, actually, WE are. All of us. Those of us that listen to podcasts anyway.
If you listen to guitar podcasts and think some of them are particularly awesome, feel free to comment with the titles.
Here's what I'm subscribed to right now (listed in no particular order):
1) Fender's podcast
2) Flatpicking Guitar Magazines podcast
3) Gibson.com's audio and video podcasts
4) The Guitar Shop podcast
5) Premier Guitar Magazine's podcast
6) Pro Tone Pedals' podcast
7) Six String Bliss' podcast
8) Stuff From The B Side
9) SteevC recommends the Boss Pedals podcast. If you type in Boss Guitar Pedals it will be the only result.
That's quite a few podcasts, I know, but if you like talking about guitars or hearing about guitars, listening to music, I'm sure you'll enjoy at least some of them.
Remember: if you have recommendations, comment here.

Thanks for posting this list, it's always a pain to search around to find the good podcasts.

I'm glad you like it! I've downloaded a few more to try out and will update it as necessary. Remember: if you have any to add, feel free.
Funny I was thinking about this same thing yesterday after blogging about a number of podcasts.
Cool list... I'll have to check the others out.
I have to say that the next cast from Pro Tone will blow your socks off- John 5, Jason Becker, Jeff Loomis, Richie Kotzen and Rusty Cooley all on one phone conversation... 95 minutes of podcast gold!

It is a pain to search for good podcasts. You've saved my time. I will have to check tehse out.
Hey all, Pappy here with an update to the podcast list:
Be sure to check out "Stuff From the B Side," a podcast from the "Stuff You Should Know" group. If your experience with B Side is good, check out their other podcasts including Stuff You Should Know, Stuff You Missed In History Class, and Stuff Your Mom Never Told You. All of them are quality shows and I hope you'll give them a listen.
On a side note, it seems the more I get into the podcasting genre, the less I'm listening to my music. I'm not sad about this though. It's nice to have the option to listen to music or listen to folks talk about stuff that I want to listen to.
Certainly beats anything on FM.
Anyway, check out Stuff From The B Side.

I listen to 6 String Bliss regularly and have checked out some of the others. The list would be even more useful if it had links.
One I would add is the Boss podcast

SteevC, I'll be honest, I have no idea how to include links in the iTunes store. If you open iTunes and type in the name of the show it should be pretty easy to find though. If this is impossible, perhaps iTunes should do something about it as I think it would be wicked helpful as well.
I'll be sure to include the Boss podcast.
Thanks for contributing!
Pappy,
I don't use iTunes or have an iPod. I sometimes click on podcast links what take me to iTunes and get a message saying I don't have the software. Most of the podcasts should have a web page that doesn't require iTunes, but probably links there anyway.
I get my podcasts either via their RSS feeds (in Amarok on Linux) or by just downloading them from the web pages.
I've included this site in a combined feed of sites related to Six String Bliss so people can get their updates in one place

I love the Guitar Shop Podcast and Six String Bliss. Is there room here for shameless self promotion? If so, theguitarpodcast.net
